Frequently asked questions

Answers about public browsing, protected documents, access, source currency and the AI assistant.

Can I explore the website without signing in?

Yes. The homepage, collection descriptions, research guides and information pages are public. Reading stored documents, downloading files and using the research assistant require an approved account.

How do I get access?

Contact CAQA to discuss access. There is no public self-registration. Approved users receive individual email and password accounts.

What does this knowledge base cover?

The collection covers ten subject areas, from legislation and standards to TEQSA publications, decisions and reference data. It is a collected research library, not an exhaustive register of current requirements.

Are all documents current and complete?

No collection should be treated as an exhaustive statement of current requirements. Check the source publisher’s current version and effective dates. Some sources may be unavailable or awaiting review.

Can I rely on an AI answer?

Use it as a starting point for research. AI can make mistakes. Read the cited sources and seek appropriate professional advice before making consequential decisions.

Does the assistant need a paid AI subscription?

This implementation uses a privately hosted, freely available model without a paid AI API subscription. Access is for approved users and depends on model service availability.

Can I suggest a missing source or correction?

Yes. Contact CAQA with the publication title, publisher link and the issue or missing material you would like reviewed.

Is this an official regulator website?

No. This is a CAQA research resource. Official source links are provided so you can consult the responsible regulator or publisher directly.
